Bu amaçla tebliğler belli bir format çerçevesinde düzenlenerek değerli bilim insanlarının istifadesine sunulmuştur. Sempozyumun amaç, kapsam, format ve hedeflerini ilk sempozyumda belirleyen ve bu bakımından sempozyumun fikir babaları olan Prof. Tarihî olayların halk edebiyatı ve müziğine yansıması olan tarihî türküler, klasik tarih kaynaklarının ötesinde sosyal tarihle ilgili bilgi veren kaynaklardandır. Büyük ölçüde iktidarların ve yöneticilerin etkisiyle kaleme alınan yazılı tarih kaynaklarının aksine, tarihî türküler halkın kolektif hafızasında yaşamaya devam eden olayları konu alır. This paper deals with the works and theories on the ethnogenesis of the Turks, in other words, their ethnic origin and nomadic lifestyle by the Soviet and Russian researchers.
