Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil, in Nesl-i Ahir and Mithat Cemal Kuntay, in Üç İstanbul, wrote this period's tempestuous years in their works, within the framework of principles of literary theory. In the novels, narrator and protagonists narrated this era, with a common attitude, as oppressive, allowing no political or artistic activity. It is emphasized that there was a serious confliction because of the founded detective agency as it kept a close watch on all parts of the society. In this study, both of the novelists' views on Abdulhamid II period is examined. Throughout the analysis, the coherence of the events in the novels with the scientific, historic facts is left to the historians. Özet ve ' da S. Klyashtory, discovered two steles with Old Turk runic inscriptions in the Hangai mountain region of the Northern Mongolia. These steles were named after the river basins, Terkhin and Tes, in which they were discovered. Both were erected by the first rulers of Uighur Khaganate. In this article, S. Klyashtorny deciphered the texts in the surviving fragments of these 2 steles; thus, he uncovers a valuable resource that illuminates the early history of the Khazars and their fellow Barsils who shared the same fate, but little is known about.
